Chinook Seniors Care Centre

Background

Chinook Care Centre currently provides care to senior residents in their newly renovated, 3-storey main facility. This facility has 203 private and semi-private rooms, and a separate wing to the south of this structure with 14 private rooms for hospice patients. Attached to the east of the main building is an existing 1-storey building, which is scheduled for demolition, and will be replaced with a new 4-storey building accompanied by one level of underground parking. Upon completion,this proposed renovation will provide an additional 80,000 sq.ft. of livable space, consisting of 88beds, and 29 additional underground parking stalls.m+b will be involved in the installation of the exterior energy efficient LED lighting and the addition of a new generator. This site has two existing site transformers that will need to be assessed for possible replacement. We will provide Electrical Design for the interior lighting, power, fire alarm,security, communications and nurse call system.  Every person on the premises will wear a wireless bracelet that can be programmed individually for location history, door and elevator access, and the ability to request assistance anywhere within the facility.This facility caters to patients requiring a higher level of care due to concerns of dementia and terminal health issues.
